Business Outreach Officer

 The Business Outreach Officer is responsible for expanding and strengthening eSewa’s agent and merchant network across assigned territories. This role involves field-level engagement, onboarding new partners, maintaining relationships, executing outreach activities, and promoting digital financial literacy and payment acceptance. 

Qualification and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Studies, Marketing, or a related field.

•    2-3 years of experience in field sales, business development, agent management, or outreach roles.
•    Experience in fintech, telecom, or digital services is an added advantage
 

Job Description

1. Network Expansion & Partner Onboarding
•    Identify and onboard new agents, sub-agents, merchants, institutions, and service providers to expand eSewa’s network.
•    Promote digital payment acceptance and ensure proper documentation and activation during onboarding.

2. Stakeholder Relationship Management
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential agents, merchants, and local community representatives.
•    Conduct regular follow-ups and field visits to ensure continued service engagement and satisfaction.

3. Outreach & Awareness Activities
•    Plan and execute on-ground campaigns, local-level activations, merchant meets, and community awareness programs.
•    Promote digital financial literacy and educate partners on the benefits and usage of eSewa services.

4. Monitoring & Reporting
•    Track transaction performance, agent activity, and partner engagement levels.
•    Prepare and submit regular reports on outreach progress, feedback, and field insights.

5. Coordination & Support
•    Collaborate with internal teams such as Support, Operations, Compliance, and Product to resolve issues raised by field partners.
•    Escalate critical concerns and suggestions from the field for service improvement.
 

Required Skills

•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    Fieldwork and relationship-building capabilities.
•    Knowledge of digital wallets, mobile banking, and agent networks.
•    Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and field tasks efficiently.
•    Proficiency in report writing and basic data analysis.
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to travel extensively.
