Business Outreach Officer-Biratnagar

The Business Outreach Officer is responsible for expanding the merchant network by identifying, onboarding, and activating retail and hospitality merchants across the assigned province. The role focuses on promoting digital payment solutions, strengthening merchant relationships, driving transaction growth, and ensuring full compliance with company and regulatory standards while working closely with internal teams.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in business development, sales, merchant acquisition, or field operations is preferred.

Job Description

  • Identify, approach, and onboard new retail and hospitality merchants within the assigned area.
  • Pitch and promote digital payment solutions such as QR payments, wallets, online payments, and bill payment services based on merchant needs.
  • Complete merchant KYC, documentation, agreement signing, and system setup accurately and within defined timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong merchant relationships through regular visits, follow-ups, and support.
  • Drive merchant activation by increasing transaction frequency and transaction value.
  • Identify high-potential merchants and develop targeted growth and engagement plans.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity and performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and data security standards.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and special assignments beyond routine KPIs when required.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams, support functions, and head office stakeholders.

    Additional Requirements

  • Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license.
  • Familiarity with local markets and merchants within the assigned area is an advantage.
